Going backwards

Women’s rights go hand in hand with reproduction rights. This week the USA took a step backwards allowing states to ban abortion. Instead of working on healthcare to bring down infant mortality, the high court decided to attack women’s control over their own bodies. The result will be more children born into poverty and women dying from illegal backstreet abortions.

I was saving this coat hanger to make some rod puppet handles, now it serves a reminder of a dark past that seems to be returning.
